Step 1: 30-day Alcohol Maceration (80-Proof): We begin by steeping our dehydrated fruiting bodies in 80-proof alcohol for a minimum of 30 days. This extended, slow-steep period naturally draws out the alcohol-soluble adaptogenic triterpenoids, antioxidants, and sterols without using destructive industrial heat.

Step 2: Hot Water Extraction: We then press the liquid out, take those exact same nutrient-dense mushrooms, and submerge them in a prolonged hot water extraction to isolate the water-soluble, immunomodulating beta-glucans and functional polysaccharides.

Why We Formulate with 80-Proof Alcohol: Many brands use high-proof alcohol like 151-proof for their initial step. However, to bring a 151-proof extract down to a safe, industry-standard 30% ABV bottle concentration, you are forced to flood the formula with an excessive volume of water. This requires using the same amount of mushrooms to create a much larger, highly diluted water extract. By utilizing 80-proof alcohol from the start, we avoid over-diluting our liquid. The result is a significantly more concentrated, full-spectrum final product with an uncompromised ratio of active compounds.
